    • MEET THE TEAM

We are Jasmin and Chenoa, two creative gals with a passion for making things pretty! ⁣

    • But we also love to problem-solve.

Which is why we are here:

to help our friends maximize their impact online

& make more time for the business of living!

    • SIMPLE BEGINNINGS

    • The Content Corner emerged as a business idea as we both worked in separate industries - Jasmin as a real estate agent, Chenoa as a photographer - and saw the advantage in our own businesses of consistently posting online, not to mention the value of having excellent and beautiful content.

However, we also shared a sense of the overwhelm that can be involved with the task, and realized that having the right tools to simplify the process made a world of difference. ⁣⁣⁣

      ⁣⁣⁣

That’s WHY we both jumped in with excitement at the thought of helping other women - small business owners, professionals, creatives, mompreneurs etc. - overcome the overwhelm we felt, and see success online without making “posting-to-Insta” a full-time job.⁣⁣⁣

      ⁣⁣⁣

We know that great content goes beyond Instagram feeds and includes looking professional everywhere you show up online - websites, blogs, email newsletters or other social media platforms like Facebook & Pinterest.

      ⁣⁣⁣

We are here to cheer you on and give you resources to elevate your online presence - without spending half your day on your phone.

    • THE ORIGINAL CREW

    • TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
      @jasminrhowell

When I’m not playing with my two sons or hanging out with my hubby (my favourite is doing both at once), I’ll most likely be found writing & editing, reading, sewing something...or enjoying some sort of technical problem-solving adventure on my computer (there’s nothing I love more than a good problem that needs solving!) I love being outside, planning fun excursions, and decorating my home. And I can't forget to mention my lifelong passion for thrift store shopping - for everything from clothing to furniture to textiles, and anything else that catches my eye.

      ⁣⁣

Colour: Green (any shade, but particularly a combination that feels like spring)! ⁣⁣⁣⁣

Snack: Homemade popcorn (or some little green olives)! Let’s be honest...anything salty.

Place: England. Always England. Because I met my hubby there, it’s green, they have the sweetest cottages and stone walls, and also...sheep.⁣⁣

Quirk: I wear bare feet most of the year. Yes, even in winter. I have a pair of sheep-wool liners that I transfer from pair to pair all year round and they keep my feet cool in summer, cozy in winter, and smelling good all year round. Is this weird? Okay, maybe this is weird, but it isn’t called a quirk for nothing.

      CREATIVE DIRECTOR

      @lettherebelightphoto

When I'm not behind a camera I'm probably planning my next adventure! I love making things beautiful...if I wasn't a photographer for the last decade I might have become or an art curator or a professional shopper. I can often be found listening to an audiobook as I edit photos & sipping a cup of green tea. I also happen to be very fond of walking & being outdoors whenever it's sunny! I’m blessed to be related to some of my favourite people & there are a lot of them (yay big families!) so no apologies for being that proud aunty who is always talking about her really cute niece & nephews.

      ⁣

Colour: Blush Pink, which has come be known as millennial pink (you can google it)⁣

Snack: Fruit! I could live on fruit!!! ⁣But also chocolate - specifically Lindt chocolate!⁣

Place: At the lake. Sunshine + water + toes in the sand = happy me! Unless my favourite place can be somewhere I’ve never actually been in which case it’s Hawaii.
Quirk: I hate eating fruit straight out of the refrigerator. Cold apples...uh, no thanks! My family teases me for “warming-up” my fruit by letting it sit on the countertop before I eat it. The one exception to this rule is watermelon...but really, does anyone actually like warm watermelon?

    • MEET OUR FEATURED ILLUSTRATORS

    • PILAR COLLIN @albertangirl

Pilar is a wife and mama who is honoured to be a full-time homemaker and thriving in that role. She’s six years into forever loving her best friend, Luke, who is her biggest cheerleader and defender of her creative space. They love the adventure of parenting their ever-growing crew of cuteness together!

For as long as Pilar can remember, drawing and painting has been a hobby of hers. She sees it as a form of worship which draws her closer to the heart of her Creator. These days it also holds an extra special role: sparking the creativity of her littles as well.

Pilar is a self-proclaimed winter enthusiast, who fully embraces and enjoys hygge living. The opportunity to contribute to Content Corner’s December collection was a treat!

      KATHRYN HART @kathryn.a.hart

Kathryn, or affectionately known as Kat by most, began her journey of creating in both words and painting from an early age. Throughout her childhood she dove into sewing, folk art, poetry and drawing. In high school, she regularly got caught doodling in the margins of her papers, daydreaming about a career in fashion or design someday. Creativity quickly became shelved in college and traded for scrubs as a nurse. Fast forward to two years ago when this busy mom of four began to walk the journey of medical challenges with her youngest. As a means of an outlet within that, she opened a notebook to write and picked up some paintbrushes, 140 lb blank paper & a watercolour palette. Kat has been known to gift these words & paintings to friends, family and her online community. She aspires to one day open an online art shoppe, but until then you’ll find her regularly sharing her work on her Instagram account.

Kathryn's work is featured in our November collection.

      ELISE MAREE @elisemareefehr

Elise has exhibited her work in various galleries, cafes and exhibitions across Australia as well as a handful of cafes and gallery spaces in Toronto, Canada. In 2017 she launched a stationary collection with Australian Company Little Branch called "Let them eat cake". This consisted of greeting cards, wrapping paper and prints and it is stocked in over 40 stores Australia wide. Elise is currently in the process of rebranding and working on creating something exciting and fresh to share with everyone hopefully very soon! We know you will love her whimsical, colourful illustrations!

Elise's work is featured in our October 2020 collection.

      ASPEN HERZOG @papertreesstudio

Aspen got her start as a toddler when she got caught drawing on the walls of her nursery with sharpie and her mom didn't have the heart to cover them up. Since then Aspen has moved on to find her favourite mediums which include pen and ink and watercolour. She has been strongly influenced by - and has admired - amazing illustrators like Beatrix Potter, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Pauline Baynes. Her passion lies in classic children's book illustrations and her DREAM would be to illustrate the 75th-anniversary edition of the chronicles of Narnia or a new iteration of Little Women.

Aspen's work is featured in our September collection.

    • TIMELINE

A brief history of the Content Corner

    • Our first true meeting was in 2011, in a booth with red vinyl seats at a restaurant just off the highway, and we realized early on - over cups of tea and breakfast - that we shared a lot of common ground. Since that time there have been many trips back and forth between the cities where we live for more breakfast dates and many more photoshoots. Our friendship is now closing in on 10 years, and teaming up to start The Content Corner has been the most fun by far as we share a common dream!
